The Skeleton Krew (formerly titled Killing Flower) is an alternative rock band in our home city of Jackson, Tennessee. Composed of Hunter Cross and Cameron Briley, The Skeleton Krew has a distinct folk-rock sound with components of blues and alternative. Their haunting lyrics are delivered in a way that can only be described as raw, passionate, and captivating.

When you think of Jackson music, you’re likely going to think of country. You may not know any local musicians at all. The Skeleton Krew wants to alter these dismissive ideas and encourage all people in our community to pursue any and every inspiration in art, even if unorthodox. Jackson is a small and impressionable town, and any form of new music, writing, or any other sort of content could easily leave a lasting influence on us as a people. “I think we’re keeping it fun and weird, and I think we’re helping make it okay again to be open-minded,” Hunter says when asked about their style in Jackson.

The Skeleton Krew recently played their first headlining show at the Amp in downtown Jackson on September twenty-second. Hunter described this experience as his favorite show he has ever played with Cameron, especially because of the substantial audience and supportive community members.
