Since the start of the season, The Lady Knights soccer team has been fighting an uphill battle. Each game presents a challenge, whether it is a lack of players, biased referees, or over-aggressive opponents, the Lady Knights have had to persevere. This season has shown our Lady Knights’ ability to be versatile, hopeful, and levelheaded on the field. Several incidents, as recorded by soccer player Caeli Jojola, show the struggles of the season. She states, “The Lady Knights Soccer team has battled unprofessional circumstances throughout our season. Margaret Keel (#10) received a red card at Lexington for retaliating against a girl who was kicking her, out of play. On another account, Kristian Derrick spoke her peace at the USJ game, and quickly received a yellow card. Hopefully the refs will learn to call a fair game from here on out”. Shortly after, Jojola was injured against Tipton Rosemont Academy.  She received a busted lip and a concussion from an aggressive player on the opposing team. Lady Knights next game is October 2nd verses Evangelical Christian School. Everyone come and bring support!
